How to get there

Each participant city will bear the travel costs for the local expert and the Young Ambassador to and from the Hotel in Evora. Other costs during the celebration of the Encounter will be borne by the Regional Secretary of South Europe and Mediterranean of the OWHC, the General Secretariat of OWHC and the Municipality of Evora.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT – TRAIN AND BUS

Getting to Évora by public transport is not very expensive and the journey is very convenient and fast.

EXPRESS BUS

The Express Bus takes approximately 1h30m-1h45 to reach Évora. There are hourly connections from Lisbon to Évora and vice-versa. The price of a regular ticket is €11.90 (one way) and €21.20 (round trip). In Lisbon, the Express Bus Terminal is located in Sete Rios. To reach the Bus Station from the airport please take the metro Red Line and exit at S. Sebastião station. Change to the Blue Line (direction “Reboleira”) and  exit at “Jardim Zoológico”. There you can find the Express Bus station. The Évora Bus Terminal is located approximately a 10-minute walk from the historic centre.

TRAIN

The Lisbon-Évora-Lisbon train journey takes about 1h30m. There are currently five daily connections and the travel prices vary depending on the type of ticket and available promotions (normal price one-way ticket is 12,50€)

From the airport you must take the Metro Red Line and exit at the “Oriente” station. There you can find the train station.

The Évora Train Station is located within a 20-minute walk from Évora’s historic centre.
